The Boymont Castle was not designed as a military fortress, but rather as a palatial residence. It was built in 1230, but destroyed by fire in 1742. From then on, the castle passed through the hands of various different owners until it was sold to Fritz Dellago in 1976. In the course of extensive renovations, he installed a country inn. The two knightly halls, the stone-lined round windows, and the capitals are worth the visit - and then there are also the mouthwatering dishes offered there!
